For some reason, even though AC3 Filter is installed, AVIcodec still reports that the audio stream is unsupported. Here s the line from AVIcodec:

This is with the latest version of AC3 Filter too. Does anybody have any idea why this might not be working. AC3 Filter shows up in AVIcodec s codec list.

Ive hade a problem with that that one to. It s playing, but only partialy decoded.

for some reason even though i installed ac3 filter

User format: PCM16 3/1.1 48000

SPDIF passthrough for: MPA AC3 DTS

Use AC3 encoder do not encode stereo PCM

Check SPDIF sample rate allow: 48kHz

Query for SPDIF output support

There could be many frtocas why this problem occurred. VLC Media Player can already play different media formats without installing this codec pack. This codec pack is recommended only if you want to be able to play and view extra media formats in.
